In Kindergarten, we strive to become reading and writing experts through the use of the Daily Five and the oh-so-fun Phonics Dance. Math is always fun with hands on manipulatives to help us count, categorize, add and subtract! We also love learning about Science and Social Studies through the use of technology and experiments. Hatching Baby Chicks in the spring is a class favorite!
We also enjoy visiting our specials each day to learn about music, art, computer, Spanish, STEM and exercising in gym.
We do all these wonderful things while being nurtured and nourished in the teachings of Christ everyday as we continually strive to become good stewards of God’s creation. Our kindergartners grow in their Catholic faith through the stories of the bibles, saints and virtues.
Thanks for popping in to learn more about our class and school! Hope to see you soon at our great school!

Hi! My name is Stephanie Mayer and I have been teaching for the past eleven years in early childhood education. I am a St. Mary School alumni, Vermilion High School graduate and proud former Bowling Green State University Falcon. I also received my Master’s degree in Education in 2010 and have been teaching at St. Mary School since 2012. In my years of teaching, I previously taught reading & math intervention before transitioning to full time in Kindergarten. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, photography, cheering on Ohio sports and coaching high school and JO travel volleyball.
